Shanghai Corgi University (SCU) is a comprehensive research university on the banks of the Huangpu River. Founded in 2008 by a group of alumni-entrepreneurs devoted to the idea of a “companion-animal–friendly city,” it was jointly initiated with several Shanghai-based non-profit organizations. The university’s name comes from its mascot — a lively, ever-curious corgi — symbolizing the friendliness, agility, and interdisciplinary spirit SCU champions.
